MINGORA: The sports and cultural festival in the natural Gabin Jabba of Swat district ended on Sunday with colorful activities.

Organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA), the event was jointly organized by the Department of Sports, Tourism, Archeology, Culture, Museums and the Department of Youth Affairs and the Swat District Administration.

During the three-day gala, a large number of tourists and locals visited the natural site to enjoy ice sports competitions and cultural activities.

The festival featured a variety of ice sports competitions for men and women, including taekwondo, snow marathon races, snow judo, tug of war and archery.

On the final day, in addition to various snow sports competitions on the top of the hill in Gabin Jabba, snow cycle races and snow marathon races were also held.

The festival featured a documentary and video promo produced by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Department at tourist destinations in the Swat Valley. Tourists and visitors appreciated the efforts of the organizers to organize such a beautiful event in Gabon Jabba.
Crafts and food stalls, tourist information desk, rabab music, recitation sessions of Pashto poetry, magic and martial arts shows and Pashto stage plays were also part of the festival.

Visitors were shown magic shows, Khattak and FC dance performances, handicraft stalls and embroidery items in traditional cuisine.

Famous singers and artists including Humayun Khan, Moiz, Shaukat Mehmood, Almas Khan Khalil and others performed at the event and performed a number of melodious songs.

Later, cash prizes and medals were given to the outstanding athletes and actors.

The organizers said that the aim of going beyond sports and cultural boundaries is to restore beautiful places and promote tourism so that tourists and tourists can be attracted to the quiet places of the province.

He said that the festival would send a positive message to the world that peace has been restored in Malakand and Hazara divisions and elsewhere in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tourism activities are in full swing.

The provincial government has taken significant steps to promote tourism, sports and protect the cultural and archeological sites in the province.

He further said that the active and important role of KPTCA in attracting foreign and domestic tourists to the province was yielding positive results.
